1. Attached is a copy of a letter sent to me from WMATA denying the request to have a community kiosk at the Takoma Metro Station;

2. The Secretary to the Council of the District of Columbia has advised me that the review period for the Takoma Central District Plan (Small Area Plan or SAP) does not begin until April 8, 2002, when the Resolution will be
officially "logged" into the Council.

This is in response to your March 19, 2002 letter concerning the provision of a kiosk for community notices at Metrorail stations.

The regulation concerning the use by others of Washington Area Transit Authority property approved by the WMATA Board of Directors, February 15, 1987, does not permit kiosks for community notices.
