Submission of the Plan to Council
The Mayor submitted the Final Takoma Central District Small Area Plan to D.C. Council on March 20, 2002. The Council will have to vote on the Plan within 45 working days. Councilmember Fenty has reported that the 45 working days begin on April 8 when Council will officially receive it.
The Plan does not have to be voted up or down in total by Council. Council can choose to accept only part of it. Click here for infromation from Adiran Fenty.

SmithGroup PowerPoint Presentation From January 17 Meeting
The SmithGroup and the DC Department of Planning have provided their PowerPoint presentation for posting. I have posted just the text and the entire presentation. Viewing the whole thing currently requires the use of frames (which most current web browsers support). Some of the following documents are in Adobe Acrobat pdf format, which most web browsers can view. Please be patient while they load (they are not optimized for quick browsing). I recommend printing or saving them on your hard drive for easier viewing.Click here for just the text (no images, no frames, no waiting, no problem).Click here for the entire presentation (which will open in a new window and in frames).
